Privacy policy

Plot Viewer is run by Mather Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 17443861). We are the controller of your personal data. Contact us at hello@plotviewer.co.uk.

What we collect and why

• Your account: your name and email address, so you can sign in and we can email you about your home. Lawful basis: contract.
• Your home's evidence: the documents, photos, notes and links you add, and the 3D model, profile and checklist we build from them. We use them only to provide the service to you. Lawful basis: contract.
• Conversations with the assistant: your messages and its replies, kept so the conversation continues. Lawful basis: contract.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details; we keep a record that your home was paid for. Lawful basis: contract and legal obligation.
• Error reports: technical details when something breaks, without your documents, cookies or form contents. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in keeping the service working.
• Analytics: which pages and features are used, only if you accept analytics cookies. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• Waitlist: your email address, to tell you when we launch. Lawful basis: consent.

How your documents are read

When you build your home, your documents and notes are sent to Anthropic's Claude models to read them. Anthropic processes them on our behalf under its commercial terms, which do not allow your content to be used to train its models. Your documents are never shown to anyone else, never put in shared or sample homes, and never shown on share links unless you choose to include them.

Who processes data for us

• Convex (database and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Clerk (sign-in), Anthropic (reading documents and the assistant), Stripe (payments), YourMail (email), Sentry (error reports, EU) and PostHog (analytics, only with consent).
• Some of these process data in the United States. Where they do, transfers are protected by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

We keep your home and its files until you delete them. Deleting a home (Settings → Delete this home) removes its documents, photos, notes, versions, checklist, share links and assistant conversation straight away. Deleting your account removes all your homes. Backups are overwritten within 30 days. We keep payment records for six years for tax purposes.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. Email hello@plotviewer.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in (set by Clerk). With your consent only, we use analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand which features help. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, after which we'll ask again.

Children

Plot Viewer is for adults buying a home. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
